New proposals for biogas plants in Chhattisgarh

Two AD projects converting cow dung into compressed biogas (green automotive fuel) are being proposed in the state of Chhattisgarh. The plans were presented by an official of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, before the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board at Nava Raipur.

As further reported, the first project is called ‘Development of New Sustainable (Rust-proof) Biogas Plant Integrated with vermi-compositing unit suitable for Chhattisgarh’. The second is entitled ‘Establishing the Facility of Green Automotive Fuel Production in Chhattisgarh Integrating Narwa, Gurwa, Ghurwa and Bari (NGGB) scheme’.
