The Jaipur Municipal Corporation has defined new requirements forcing public building and partly private institutions to process their wet waste through composting or anaerobic digestion. According to The Times of India, the change which will come into force by the end of November 2017 and will also be in effect for public buildings such as hospitals, hotels etc., which produce more than 100 kg of waste per day, and housing societies with more than 5,000 m².
