A few days after the collapse of the Ghazipur landfill, one of Delhi’s four landfills (state of Uttar Pradesh), the local government of the city of Greater Noida stated to be aiming at accelerating the construction of a new WtE facility at the site of the Astoli landfill. Greater Noida is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and according to its local authority, the city will soon start the tender process for the project. as reported by The Hindustan Times, the local government intends to select a private company, which should start construction works as soon as possible. Information on the capacity or the costs of the project has not been revealed yet.
