According to the source, a WtE plant is currently being constructed in Ghaziabad. It should have a capacity of 1,000 to 1,500 daily metric tons of processed solid waste and produce 15 MW of electricity. Ghaziabad produces 950 metric tons of waste per day. Investment costs for the facility should amount to INR 2 billion (EUR 27 million). According to the source, the Hindustan Times, a “private agency” will develop the project and refinance it by energy sales. However, it does not give any information on the operator or the facility’s technology.
