Neway gets extension to establish recycling plant

As reported in issue 11-2018, a construction and demolition (C&D) waste recycling facility, worth a total of about EUR 1.1 million, was planned to be built in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The city intended to terminate the contract after Indian firm Neway Engineers MSW Private Ltd failed to begin construction works that were planned for January 2017. According to The Hindu, Neway now has time until 30 April to establish the plant. Previously, the contractor had been granted an extension until 31 March.
