Editor The MBT project in Brahmapuram was violating the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 and therefore the state and Central Pollution Control Board (PCB) have to pay a fine of INR 50 lakhs to the National Green Tribunal (NGT), reported The Times of India. Furthermore, NGT has set a deadline to the developer to finish construction by March 2019. In case of non-compliance with the deadline, the local body has to pay INR 2 lakh per day delayed.
