NGT orders inspection of delayed WtE plants

India’s National Green Tribunal (NGT) has ordered inspections of the delayed WtE plants in Ghazipur and Bawana, in order to prevent further delays of the commissioning process. The WtE facilities in Rajghat and Badarpur will be examined as well to assess their operations and maintenance. According to The Times of India, air quality samples will be taken from the ambient air as well as from the stacks. The NGT emphasised the importance to ensure that plant emissions do not carry ashes or other particular matters.
