According to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC), virtually no progress has been made on the 130,000 tpy Rajkot pyrolysis gasification WtE project. Plant developers are companies Strot Energy and Rochem Separation Systems, which were awarded a contract by RMC in 2014. Originally, commissioning was scheduled for 2016, however, no construction activity has taken place since 2015. So far, only a number of iron pillars were constructed at the plant site, as was reported by The Times of India. RMC is now considering to look for another contractor to finish the project.
