No progress on WtE plant in Srinagar City

The WtE facility in Achan, Srinagar City, Jammu and Kashmir, which should have been constructed within 18 months from 12 December 2017 onwards, has not made any progress, as was reported by The Greater Kashmir. The 5 MW plant that should have a capacity of 160,000 tpy is to be designed, developed and managed as a PPP project between the consortium of Highland Automobiles Private Limited, Key Stone Energy Limited and Astrix. With an investment of INR 1.2 billion, the plant should be a solution for the solid waste management crisis in Srinagar.
