No relocation of Okhla plant

According to The Times of India, New Delhi’s National Green Tribunal has formally overruled a residents’ plea for relocation of the Okhla WtE plant. A fine of around USD 2.5 million was imposed on M/S Jindal Urban Infrastructure Ltd, a company involved with the Okhla facility, for pollution and exceeding the emission limitations. The case has been discussed in court for more than four years and residents are now considering taking it to the high court.
