Noida Authority sets up SWM Control & Command Center

To monitor the disposal of solid waste and address grievances of the residents, the Noida Authority has launched an integrated control room for complaints about garbage collection and disposal.

Ms Ritu Maheshwari, CEO, NOIDA, inaugurated the ‘Integrated Control & Command Centre for Solid Waste Management’ for Noida earlier today.

Developed by HCL, the control room will help monitor the real-time status of more than 300 vehicles that are deployed for waste management in the city on a daily basis.
While 195 vans are deputed to collect garbage from colonies, villages, and housing societies, a fleet of 50 trucks is deployed to transfer the waste to the landfill site in Sector 145 later on. Besides, other vehicles are deputed for mechanical sweeping, market cleaning, removing litter from roads, and green belt.
