NOIDA to convert Sector 54 waste into RDF

The New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) has announced that the garbage of sector 54 will soon begin to be processed in a remediation plant, reported The Times of India. The plant uses bio-culture to sanitise waste before a remediation machine converts the solid waste into refuse-derived fuel (RDF). The waste processing is as a result of the MoU signed between the authority and Tamil Nadu-based Zigma Global Environ Solutions Pvt Ltd. According to the company, the combustible end result will be supplied to cement companies as an alternative fuel source.
