OGPCL plans to divest its shares in biomass subsidiary

The Business Standard reports that Oriental Green Power Company Ltd. (OGPCL) plans to sell its shares of biomass subsidiary, Sanjog Sugars and Eco-Power Pvt. Ltd. (SSEPPL), to Soorya Eco Power Pvt Ltd (SEPPL). OGPCL holds a major stake in the company and the rest of the shares belong to SSEPPL. The subsidiary SSEPPL has been operating a 10 MW biomass plant in the Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan. With the sale, OGPCL is implementing its strategy to withdraw from biomass subsidiaries.
