Plans to build WtE plant in Bidadi

A plan to set up a new WtE plant in Bidadi, Karnataka, is said to be in the last stage of being permitted by the state government. If approved, the plant should utilise piped gas from Dabhol in order to convert waste into electricity. According to The Deccan Herald, the investment needed for setting up the plant would amount to between Rs 1 crore and Rs 20 crore (EUR 0.1 to 2.7 million), depending on the amount of waste that would be treated.
