After having opened the tender process around 2 weeks ago, the local authority of Bangalore, the Bruhat Bengalaru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), has only received a few bids for the 5 planned WtE projects so far. This was reported by the New Indian Express. The envisioned projects are expected to be put into practice in Kannahalli, Mavallipura, Subbarayanapalya, Doddabidarakallu and Chikkanagamangala. Up until now, only one firm (Indium) has expressed interest to build the small-scale Doddabidarakallu facility. Nevertheless, the building contracts might now be awarded to companies which had not officially taken part in the bidding process due to lack of experience, but have shown interest in serving as the contractor.
