A petition filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2015 has revealed that the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has over 500 vehicles that have crossed their expiration date but continue to ply on the roads.

Multiple PMC vehicles, especially the tucks used to carry the city’s waste are more than 30 years old and running without safety measures such as number plates, headlights, tail indicators, side mirrors and wipers, among other things, reports Pune Mirror.

The PMC has reportedly said it is looking into the matter and will take required action.
