Pune ZP launches rural waste management project

The Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) has announced a Rs 130 crore project for rural waste management. This project is aimed at enabling all the talukas to better manage their waste. The Pune ZP is the first in Maharashtra to undertake any such activity.

According to Pune Mirror, 46 new engineers have been hired for the task.

Primove, a Pune-based company is assisting the ZP on this initiative, which also includes the creation of an online waste market.
