Invest Punjab has signed an MoU recently with the Punjab State Office-Renewable Gas Association of India (PSO-RGAI). The new agreement aims at promoting the development of biofuel compressed biogas (CBG) plants in Punjab.

As reported by the Hindustan Times, the MoU should encourage renewable gas production from all feedstocks. As the source indicates, CNG and bio-CNG are seen as the most cost-effective types of fuels in India, in comparison to petrol or diesel.
