Saligao MBT and biogas plant to start trial operations

An MBT plant currently under construction in Saligao, Goa, has been announced to start trial operations on 1 April. The facility was said to have a 100 tpd capacity and to include RDF production, a biogas unit and a composting line. It was also stated that the facility would feature an organic extruder press (OREX), said to be able to separate organic and solid waste in a single treatment step. Plant developer is Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt Ltd (HWTPL), a special purpose vehicle (SPV) by the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC). This was reported by Navhind Times.
