SECI to set up 8MW WtE project in Kanpur

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids to set up an 8 MW  grid-connected waste-to-energy project on Build-Own-Operate (B-O-O) basis in Kanpur.

The scope of work includes setting up of WTE Plant, along with the operation and maintenance for the entire plant life. The Kanpur Municipal Corporation shall supply RDF to the project developer from their Processing facility. The Project Developer shall process/recycle the rejects/residues before landfill as per the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.

As per the RfS, the Urban Local Bodies (ULB)/ Department of Urban Development (DoUD) will ensure the supply of RDF for 300 days a year. Bidders must provide information about RDF-based waste-to-energy projects, recycling and processing equipment, and machinery to be installed in the project.

The last date to submit bids is February 10, 2022. Bids will be opened on February 15.
