Several waste management projects announced in Kerala

In Kerala, the construction of an e-waste, plastic and glass waste sorting and recycling facility has been proposed. Moreover, district-level facilities for the collection and sorting of non-biodegradable waste are being planned. According to The New Indian Express, plans were announced during the Rebuild Kerala Development Partners Conclave. According to Kerala’s Chief Minister, Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, the World Bank has expressed interest in becoming a development partner for the region.
