Small-scale AD plant to be commissioned in Puikhadi

The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation will commission the new AD plant in Puikhadi, Maharashtra, next week. According to The Times of India, the plant should process agricultural waste with a capacity of 5 tons of waste per day and 450 to 500 kWh daily. According to the source, the facility is expected to produce around 350 m3 per day and cost INR 8,800,000 (EUR 115,000). The plant will be operated and maintained by a Pune-based firm, which was contracted for the next five years. However, the source does not provide any information on the name of the company. Furthermore, the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation hired the same company to build another AD plant in Puikhadi.
