Suzuki biogas plant in Gurgaon started operations

Automobile company Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has installed a pilot biogas plant at its site in Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana, which began operations in June 2024. The plant processes Napier grass and food waste to produce 0.2 tpd of biogas. Suzuki plans to invest INR 4.5 billion (EUR 49.9 million) into renewable energy initiatives, over 3 years from FY 2024 onwards.
