According to reports from the Indian Express, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has extended the tender for the WtE facility for another month, as no bidder was found. The tendering process started over a year ago and has already been extended multiple times. As ecoprog reported, the project has been facing problems in its establishment, causing the Bombay High Court to prolong permission to landfill until 31 December, 2019. Once established, the 10 MW WtE plant will process 600 tonnes of MSW daily.
