Tender re-launched for SRF production plant

The Pune Cantonment Board has re-adjusted its floated tender towards establishing a waste management plant for processing wet and dry waste, according to The Times of India. As earlier reported in 2016, the board floated a tender for the establishment of an RDF plant, Waste-to-Energy facility and a material recycling facility (MRF), but could not find a satisfactory contractor for the facilities. Recently, the board decided to have the plant produce both compost fertilisers and refuse derived fuel (RDF). The winning contractor will have to complete the facility establishment within 6 months and then run the plant for 15 years. The plant will be established at the Hadapsar industrial area.
