CLP leader criticizes poor waste disposal in Guwahati

There are ongoing protests against a proposed relocation of the Chandrapur landfill in Guwahati, Assam. According to the Assam Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, Debabrata Saikia, original plans provided for setting up a Waste to Energy project in the area. This development, as further stated by Mr. Saikia, has not yet been realized.

The official has also criticized the lack of coordinated waste management measures in the area, as further reported by Guwahati Plus. He also announced to bring this issue to the Assam Assembly.
