Thyssenkrupp and B&W Vølund sign technology agreement

Engineering and manufacturing company, Thyssenkrupp Industries India Pvt. Limited, has signed a 10 year licensing agreement with Babcock & Wilcox Vølund A/S for its biomass boiler technology, a water-cooled vibrating grate, for application in India and its neighboring countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bhutan. According to Babcock & Wilcox, the technology can be used for combustion of biomass and multi-fuels, producing very little ash. B&W Vølund will provide its engineering and advisory services to Thyssenkrupp.
