Toyota discusses erection of car recycling facility

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the carmaker’s Indian subsidiary, is currently considering to set up a car recycling facility, as reported by Recycling International. TKM is expecting a rapidly growing number of scrap cars in the upcoming years. TKM’s mother company is already operating a recycling facility in Japan, which however is specialized in scrap generated at manufacturing plants. In its 2 manufacturing plants in Bidadi, Bangalore, Toyota at current assembles 310,000 cars per year.
