Trichy considers to use landfill waste for RDF production

The city corporation of Trichy is considering to produce RDF in the future, as the local landfill in Ariyamangalam is overflowing with waste. The local government needs approval by the state to continue pursuing the plan, but seems convinced that the production of RDF would be the best solution to treat the non-biodegradable waste delivered to the landfill. Realisation of the project should begin as soon as the state approves the idea. This was reported by the Times of India.
