A new facility converting wet waste into biogas and CNG is to be built at the Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

An unnamed company based in the UK is reportedly supposed to set up the plant, which entails an investment of INR 1 billion (EUR 11.8 million). The plant’s capacity should reach 200 tpd of wet waste from, amongst others, large vegetable markets or hotels.

The UK-based developer presented its project to the Municipal Corporation of Ghaziabad on 29 November 2021. Five acres of land are currently being earmarked for the project.
