Up to USD 150 million for new AD projects in Punjab

Indian biogas company Rika Biofuels plans to invest up to USD 150 million (EUR 127 million) in 10 new bio CNG plants in Punjab, northern India, according to the Economic Times. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Punjab Bureau of Industrial Promotion and the Punjab Energy Development Agency. Each plant is estimated to have a capacity of 100 tpd of paddy straw. The first plant should be operational in 2019.
