The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has announced that it has finally determined the electricity tariffs for the power that will be generated at the upcoming Bhandewadi WtE plant in Nagpur, Indian state of Maharashtra. The tariff will amount to INR 7.8 (EUR 0.10) per MWh. As reported by The Times of India, the facility will have an electricity generation capacity of 11.5 MW and will be operated by local firm Nagpur Solid Waste Processing and Management Private Ltd (NSWPMPL). The contractor of the project is a joint venture between Essel Infraprojects Limited and Hitachi Zosen India Private Limited.
