The housing and urban development department of Bhubaneswar has directed the civic body to sort all issues related to the Bhuasuni dumping yard and commence work on setting up the planned Waste-to-Energy plant and another plastic waste treatment plant in Bhuasuni, Odisha, according to Telegraph India. The 600 tpd WtE plant should generate 11.5 MWel. The statement came after the city ranked low in the Swachh Survekshan 2018 (ranking of India cities in terms of cleanliness).
