According to The New Indian Express, the two Chennai WtE projects, planned at the Kodungaiyur and Perungudi landfills, are both going to be implemented with a 32 MW electrical generation capacity, and an annual processing capacity of 880,000 tonnes each. INR 15.17 crores have been invested in the Kodungaiyur project, while INR 14.19 crores have been invested in the Perungudi project. The projects will be based on a design-build-operate-and-transfer model and will be implemented through a PPP.
