Update on Langadiyawas WtE project and new MRF plans

The WtE plans in Langadiyawas, Jaipur District, Rajasthan, are moving ahead. The proposal was first announced by the City of Jaipur back in 2018.

As stated in the source at hand, a 15-hectare plot of land was made available. The plant is to process 1,000 tpy of waste and generate 12 MWe.

Project costs are expected to amount to INR 1.82 billion (EUR 20.3 million), of which the Jaipur Municipal Corporation is to contribute INR 250 million (EUR 2.8 million). According to the current schedule, the WtE plant is to become operational in May 2025.

As further stated in the source, a 300 tpd MRF for waste from hotels and restaurants is also being developed by an unnamed company. Its investment costs amount to INR 140 million (EUR 1.6 million). However, further details are not provided.
