Update on Lucknow WtE project

A few weeks after taking over as waste management body of the city of Lucknow, Chinese firm Ecogreen Energy has officially confirmed that they will invest around RMB 300 million (EUR 40.8 million) in the planned WtE project in Lucknow. Ecogreen Energy is a subsidiary of Jinjiang Environment and will complete the construction works on the Lucknow plant. The company will be bound to the city of Lucknow on a BOT (build-operate-transfer) base for 30 years and will be the only provider for waste treatment in the city of Lucknow. Apart from the WtE plant, Ecogreen will operate a landfill and a waste pretreatment facility with an intake capacity of around 1,500 tpd of waste, starting in April 2019.
