Update on new WtE project in Jawaharnagar

The additional 28 MW WtE plant to be built at the Jawaharnagar landfill in Hyderabad, Telangana, should take 18 months for construction, once environmental permits are granted. This is according to a report by the Deccan Chronicle.

In November 2020, Ramky Enviro Engineers SPV commissioned a 19.8 MW WtE at the site. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is applying to the Ministry to secure environmental permits for expanding the project from 19.8 MW to 48 MW.
