Update on planned biomass project in Bathinda

According to The Times of India, the Board of Directors of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) have approved the project proposal for setting up a 60-65 MW paddy-straw-fired biomass plant in Bathinda, Punjab. The plant will be located on the Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Power plant (GNDTP) site, and will have an annual processing capacity of 400,000 tonnes of paddy straw.
