Update on RDF project by Gurugram and Faridabad

Almost one year after the announcement of the project, new information has been given on the joined RDF project carried out by the cities of Gurugram and Faridabad, state of Haryana. Reportedly, a new waste sorting plant with an intake capacity of 400,000tpy of waste will be set up. At the new facility, solid waste will be divided into compost and waste for the production of RDF. Later on, the produced RDF will also be used to generate power. The project will be implemented in the form of a public-private partnership (PPP).
