According to the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, the WtE project planned for the village of Tekhand will have an envisioned intake capacity of 384,000tpy of waste. When operational, the facility will be able to produce 15 MW of energy. As reported by The Daily Pioneer, the Tekhand WtE plant will process municipal solid waste from South Delhi. South Delhi residents produce around 1,280,000 tpy of waste, half of which is being processed at Delhi’s WtE plant in Okhla close to the planned facility in Tekhand.
