Update on the Galand WtE project

Uttar Pradesh authorities have now made detailed information on a planned WtE facility in Galand village in Ghaziabad, available.

According to a report in The Hindustan Times, the facility is planned to process up to 2,500 tpd of MSW. In the commissioning phase, throughput is estimated at 1,200 tpd. The plot with a size o 44.25 acres belongs to the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation.

According to October 2019 information, the facility will be developed by Netherlands-based GC International. Originally, construction was scheduled to begin in 2020, but a new start of construction has not been issued.
