UP’s first C&D waste management is finally functional

Uttar Pradesh’s first construction and demolition (C&D) waste management plant is finally functional in Noida’s Sector 80.

The Times of India reports that the main machinery for the plant is yet to be imported while a portable machinery is being used to process round 150 tonnes of C&D waste per day. By the end of January, the plant is expected to process 300 tonnes of C&D waste daily.

The C&D recycling plant was in the pipeline for over two years. So far, around 1000 tonnes of C&D waste has been recycled, processed and screened into gravel of different sizes that can be used for the construction of roads.
