Verbio receives approval letter for Bhutal Kalan AD project

Outlook India reports, that Verbio India Private Limited has received the approval letter by the Chief Minister of Punjab for its biogas project in the village of Bhutal Kalan, Lehragaga tehsil, Sangrur district. Verbio had already been granted permits for the INR 710 million (EUR 8.7 million) bio-compressed natural gas project in April 2018. The plant should process 100,000 tpy of paddy straw to produce 33.23 tpd of compressed biogas and 144,000 tpy of compost. As further stated in the source, the Chief Minister has also asked Verbio to consider converting Punjab’s large amounts of sugarcane bagasse into bio-CNG and organic manure.
