WtE MoU signed in Andhra Pradesh

At the recent CII Partnership Summit, held in Visakhapatnam, the state government of Andhra Pradesh has apparently signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with an unnamed private company to set up a WtE plant. As reported by The New Indian Express, the facility, which was described as a waste-to-heat energy plant, is planned to cost around INR 3.24 billion (USD 47.68 million). Generation capacity was said to amount to 36 MW. However, the source does not give any information on technology or the type of waste to be used.
