Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Maharashtra, has announced that new waste management projects for 48 cities should be approved before 31 March 2018. This was reported by Indian Express. These projects are expected to come on top of already approved projects for 152 cities with a total cost of approximately EUR 232 million. Regarding a project for solid waste management in Aurangabad, approved in 2002, the Chief Minister announced that the state will now make the reservation and make available funds worth EUR 10.7 million.
