As has been confirmed by government officials, there are currently 6 WtE projects planned for the Kashmir region, Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir. This was reported by Kashmir Reader. The locations for the new projects should be: The Delina village of Baramulla, the Lethpora area of Pulwama, the Sumbal area of Bandipora, the Batengoo area of Anantnag, the Lurow area of Kulgam and Natnussa Khantipora of Kupwara. The local administration of Kashmir has already launched tenders for the respective projects and will accept bids until January 27th, 2018. The combined project costs will amount to around EUR 22.7 million and all projects will be carried out on a PPP (public-private-partnership) basis.
