According to The Times of India, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has received 9 proposals for the implementation of the planned WtE project at the site of the Moshi landfill. Pimpri Chinchwad is located within the Indian State of Maharashtra and the local administration has been trying to attract bidders for the project for several years now. Proposals for the project were accepted until January 12th, 2018. The project should be carried out on a DBFOT (design-build-finance-operate-transfer) basis. The PCMC will provide the land for the project, while the contractor will also operate the plant for 21 years, once it becomes operational. The facility is expected to have an energy generation capacity of 11.5MW. The names of the nine companies who have sent in their bids, have not been revealed yet.
