In a rather vague statement, the state government of Andhra Pradesh has announced that they have taken first steps towards the creation of 6 new WtE plants for the region. According to The Hindu, the plants are expected to be commissioned between 2017 and 2018 but no further information was given on the subject. In February 2017 the state government of Andhra Pradesh announced the construction of 11 new WtE plants in 11 different locations within the state.
