ANIL and RIL to set up 2 biogas plants each

Utility Adani New Industries (ANIL) and conglomerate Reliance Industries (RIL) are planning to each develop two biogas plants.

Both companies plan to invest up to INR 6 billion (EUR 74.26 million) in the new projects. The plants should process various organic waste to produce compressed biogas (CBG) as fuel, according to the source.

While ANIL proposes to erect “40 million tpy plants” in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat, the future locations of the RIL projects have not yet been announced. The two plants by RIL should have a similar capacity.
