Construction of a biogas plant is currently underway in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The project is being jointly developed by gas company GAIL India Limited and the Ranchi Municipal Corporation.
In two digesters, the plant should process up to 300 tpd of organic waste to produce about 10 tpd of compressed biogas (CBG).
As further reported, only one digester will be constructed in the first construction phase, but the Municipal Corporation is already preparing the second phase to develop the second digester.
